Job summary

Oliver Rae Ltd on behalf of our prestigious client in Wolverhampton is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Setter Operator to manufacture precision parts. You will set and operate CNC sliding head and fixed head lathes, write and adjust Fanuc/Siemens programs, and read detailed technical drawings.

Ideal candidates have solid CNC lathe setting and operating experience, can interpret engineering drawings, and demonstrate reliability and initiative in a productive workshop environment with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in CNC Lathe Setting and Operating.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Reliability, initiative and the ability to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Sliding head/ Fixed head Lathes to manufacture precision parts.
• Writing/editing and adjusting programmes - Fanuc/Siemens (would be adventageous).
• Work confidently from detailed technical drawings.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and precision quality checks.
• Keep machines running at peak performance through problem-solving and fine-tuning.

CNC Lathe Setter Operator

Location: Wolverhampton

Pay Rates: £17.50-£19.00 per hour dependent on experience

Shift Patterns: Rotating shifts - Monday to Friday 06:00-13:30 / Monday to Thursday 13:15-21:30 & Friday 13:00-17:15
