Job summary
Precision People is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator in Wellingborough. You will set and operate 3/4 axis milling machines and turning machines, perform full setup from drawings including offsets, and conduct manual inspection of components.
Experience with Hurco controls and tight aerospace/motorsport tolerances is essential. You will work as part of a team and may undertake some assembly tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Experience setting & operating CNC 3/4 axis mills and turning machines.
- Experience with precision engineering to aerospace and motorsport tolerances.
- Experience checking components to engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate 3/4 axis CNC milling machines.
- Set and operate CNC turning machines.
- Full setup from drawings including offsets.
- Perform manual inspection of components.
- Carry out additional duties as required and some assembly work.

Paying: Up to £16
Hours of work: 08:00-16:45 Mon to Thurs & 08:00 - 12:00 Friday
Overtime available at an enhanced rate
The role is based in Wellingborough and is commutable from Northampton, Rushden and surrounding areas.
Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Miller setter /operator
- Set and operate 3 & 4-axis Modern CNC Milling Machines
- Set and operate CNC Turning Machines
- Full set up from drawings (including offsets)
- Using Hurco controls
- Manual inspection of components
- Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate
- Some assembly work
- Experience of Setting & Operating CNC 3/4 axis Mills & Turning machines
- Experience with Precision Engineering to Aerospace and Motorsport tolerances
- Experience checking components to engineering drawings
- Motivated and excellent team player
