Job summary

Team Jobs - Engineering in Poole seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision engineering team supporting aerospace and defence projects. You will generate CNC programmes for 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines and contribute to new product introduction and process optimisation.

The role focuses on hands-on programming, process development, and lean improvements with a view to delivering robust solutions and productivity gains.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in precision engineering/manufacturing, ideally aerospace/defence.
• Knowledge of machining processes including milling and turning.

Responsibilities

• Create and prove CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software.
• Develop manufacturing processes, tooling strategies and routings.
• Produce setup sheets, tooling plans and process documentation.
• Support new product introduction and process validation.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production to ensure robust process control.
• Lead lean initiatives, cost reductions and productivity gains.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
