Optima UK Inc Ltd in Nottinghamshire is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision engineering team manufacturing high-integrity components for demanding sectors. The role offers technically challenging work, ownership of machining processes, and development within a growing business.

You will program, simulate and optimise CNC machining across 3-, 4- and 5-axis operations, read engineering drawings to tight tolerances, and collaborate with production to sustain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming experience, including 3-, 4- or 5-axis machining.
• Experience with offline and online programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of precision machining and tolerances.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and own tasks.
• Experience in regulated/high-integrity manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop CNC programs.
• Complete offline and online programming.
• Support CNC setting and machining activities.
• Work with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining processes.
• Produce complex precision components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with production to maintain quality standards.
