Team Jobs - Engineering in Poole, Dorset is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a precision engineering manufacturer. You will programme, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines from scratch in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Key duties include reading drawings, selecting tooling and cutting parameters, producing tight tolerance components, carrying out first-off checks and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Experience programming from scratch on CNC mills and lathes.
Proficient with Fanuc/Siemens controls.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Programming CNC milling and turning machines from scratch.
Setting and operating CNC machinery.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Selecting tooling, offsets and cutting parameters.
Producing precision components to tight tolerances.
Carrying out first‑off inspections and quality checks.
Troubleshooting machining issues and improving cycle times.
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
