Job summary

Proactive Global in Normanton, Wakefield is seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator for a temp-to-perm role. You will set up and operate Amada CNC Press Brakes, producing components from drawings and specifications while adjusting tooling and ensuring quality.

The position requires reading engineering drawings and working with sheet metal materials, on a rotating shift pattern. The ideal candidate will have prior CNC press brake experience (Amada preferred), strong measuring and

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Amada CNC Press Brakes.

CNC Press Brake Operator | Temp to Perm | Normanton, Wakefield

Location: Normanton, Wakefield (WF6)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Pay: £17.00 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance) - Non-negotiable
Shifts: Rotating weekly

• 6:00am - 2:00pm

• 2:00pm - 10:00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join a busy manufacturing team based in Normanton, Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sheet metal professional looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery, producing high-quality components while ensuring all work meets engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The Role:

• Set up and operate Amada CNC Press Brakes

• Produce components accurately from engineering drawings and specifications

• Carry out machine adjustments and tooling changes

• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met

• Work with a variety of sheet metal materials and thicknesses

• Use measuring equipment to maintain accuracy and quality

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

• Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining high standards

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience operating CNC Press Brakes (Amada experience preferred)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Experience working within a sheet metal fabrication environment

• Good understanding of measuring equipment and quality inspection standards

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

• Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude

• Ability to work alternating shift patterns
