Job summary

KineticPlc in Sheffield, England, is seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Setter Operator to join our established engineering team. The role suits someone who can read engineering drawings, set up Bystronic press brakes, and produce high-quality components.

You will work with mornings/afternoons or nights on a rotating pattern, with pay rates up to £16.97 per hour. Apprentice-trained or time-served engineers are encouraged to apply; prior Bystronic experience is essential and health and safety

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or time-served in engineering is acceptable.
• Previous press brake experience is required.
• Prior Bystronic CNC Press Brake experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and health and safety is expected.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work is important.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bystronic press brake machinery.
• Programme components accurately using engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret flat profile drawings and manufacturing information.
• Produce components to required tolerances and quality standards.
• Conduct complete dimensional inspections with measuring tools.
• Identify and resolve production issues with a focus on health and safety.

CNC Press Brake Setter Operator2x CNC Press Brake Setter Operators (ideal editing/ programming skills too) required to join a credible and long standing engineering company who specialise in fabricated, machined and profile cut steel products in automotive, rail, construction and other industry sectors.This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a respected engineering business with a strong family feel (many staff have been here for 15 years +)

Responsibilities as CNC Press Brake Setter Operator

• Setting and Operating Bystronic CNC Press Brake
• Working from engineering schematic drawings
• Creating quality steel components while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
• Knowledge, understanding or prior experience programming CNC Press Brakes is desired
• Inspection of finished parts (ensuring every component meets the required specifications)
• Shifts available: Mornings & Afters Rotating or Fixed Nights
• Morning and Afternoon shift pattern: Pay rate £15.70 per hour (£32,656)Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pmMonday to Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:00am
• Fixed Night Shift: Pay £16.97 per hour (£35,298)Monday to Thursday, 8pm to 6am

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bystronic press brake machinery
• Programme components accurately using engineering drawings
• Read and interpret flat profile engineering drawings, press bending symbols, development lengths and all other manufacturing information
• Produce components to required tolerances and quality standards
• Inspection - complete dimensional checks
• Experience using measuring equipment such as callipers, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures
• Adjust programmes where needed (editing/ programming abilities is a bonus)
• Identify and resolve any issues during production (health and safety etc)
• Support other operators and share your knowledge when required

We are looking for a CNC Press Brake Setter Operator who has

• Previous experience working within a press brake or similar engineering environment
• Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering experience considered
• Prior Bystronic CNC Press Brake experience essential
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and health and safety
• A reliable approach with strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
