Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Miller/CNC Machinist for a permanent role in a UK manufacturing environment. You will set up and run CNC milling machines and machining centres to produce precision components to drawings and tolerances. You will read drawings, select tools, perform basic edits, and conduct basic inspections.

The position offers premium-rate overtime and a strong benefits package. Experience with GD&T is beneficial, and you’ll work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller/CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
• Understanding of cutting tools, fixtures and work-holding.
• Basic inspection capability (e.g., verniers, micrometers, gauges).
• Knowledge of GD&T is beneficial.
• Good attention to detail, communication and teamwork.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to confirm machining requirements
• Select and fit cutting tools, fixtures and work-holding devices

• Identify and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area

CNC Millers (CNC Machinists) - Permanent

Join an expanding UK manufacturing business machining precision components, often large parts in a range of materials. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity with premium-rate overtime readily available, plus a strong benefits package. If you can set, operate and make basic program edits, training can be provided on specific controls.

The role

You'll be setting and operating CNC milling machines and machining centres, producing high-quality parts to drawing and tolerance.
