Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join a long-established engineering business renowned for high-precision components. You will set and operate CNC machines, perform alignments and work with engineered parts to tight tolerances.

The role offers a 38-hour week with a 12pm Friday finish, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance and a discretionary bonus. Overtime is available; development and progression opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or time-served engineer with City & Guilds or BTEC level.
• Experience in precision subcontract machining/engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Flexible with working hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC machines (programming experience is advantageous).
• Machine alignments.
• CNC milling; turning and grinding experience is a bonus.
• Working with components and free-issue material to tight tolerances.
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings and processes.
• Working independently with minimal supervision; strong team contribution.
• Complying with relevant H&S requirements.
• Maintaining ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards throughout the process.
