Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter in Abingdon to operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines and perform CMM inspections as required. The role demands reading and interpreting component drawings, tight tolerance work with various materials, and contributing to throughput improvements within a 5's manufacturing environment.

Experience with Fanuc controls is desirable. Regular overtime and pension benefits are provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi axis CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret component drawings and instructions.
• Experience with Fanuc controls or similar is desirable.
• Thorough experience using inspection tools and performing 100% inspection would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Perform CMM inspection and produce inspection reports as required.
• Work to schedules and contribute to quality improvements.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.

Job description

Hours: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.00am-1.00pm on Fridays.

Location: Abingdon

A skilled CNC Miller Setter is required for a major supplier to high-tech companies in the UK?s Oxford/Cambridge Arc of Innovation and Technology. Supplying to Nuclear fusion, Space Technologies, Medical innovation, F1 and many other demanding industries.

We are seeking a skilled candidate with experience of multi axis CNC Machining.

CNC Machining, and setting

Operation of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.

Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required.

Using initiative to improve quality/throughput etc o Working to scheduled lists

Operate within a 5's manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001 :2015 quality standards

EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrable experience of Fanuc controls or similar but not essential

Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances

Thorough experience of multi axis CNC machining

Use of inspection tools (able to perform 100% inspection) and CMM desirable

Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions Working to high quality standards

Programming ? Advantageous
