Job summary

JT Recruit is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Operator in Loughborough to join a team focused on producing high-quality components. The role supports setting and programming development as you progress in your career.

You will operate CNC milling machines with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls, read engineering drawings, and perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers and gauges. A clean, safe workspace and adherence to quality procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent with measuring equipment (micrometers/verniers/gauges).
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

CNC Milling Operator required for my client based in Loughborough

12 week temp to perm

Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00

Friday 07:00 – 13:00 (Early finish every week)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Milling Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience operating milling machines who takes pride in producing high-quality components and is eager to further develop their skills in setting and programming.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Carrying out in-process and final inspection using:
  • Micrometers
  • Verniers
  • Gauging equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following company procedures for quality and safety

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC milling machines
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controlsli>
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Competent in the use of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player

Desirable (but not essential)

1. Experience with CNC setting
2. Basic knowledge of CNC programming
