Training is available for candidates from other multi-axis backgrounds, but this is not a basic operator role. The role requires independent work to high engineering standards, reading drawings, making tooling and offset adjustments, and carrying out

Basic Rate: £19.82 per hour
Shift Rate: £23.78 per hour with 20% shift uplift
Hours: Rotating morning and afternoon shifts - 4 Day work week Mon-Thurs

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist looking to join a highly skilled engineering team working within a secure, high-quality manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machinery, producing precision components to demanding specifications.
You do not need to be an experienced Mazak machinist, as training and development can be provided for candidates coming from other multi-axis machining backgrounds.
However, this is not a basic machine operating position. You must be confident taking responsibility for your own work and be capable of:
Full programming from scratch or working through pages of CNC code is beneficial but not required,
The site operates Mazak machinery using:
Candidates with experience on other multi-axis CNC machinery and controls will also be considered, with Mazak training available.
You should have previous experience as a CNC Miller, Setter/Operator or similar precision machining role.
Experience within aerospace, defence, nuclear, oil & gas or other high-precision engineering environments would be advantageous, not essential.
Due to the nature of the work and secure site, candidates must be able to satisfy the required security clearance requirements.
