Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training in Bilston is seeking experienced CNC Millers - Setter/Operators to join a precision engineering team. This hands-on role involves setting and operating Mazak CNC machines with Mazatrol controls, making program modifications as needed, and producing high-precision components for defence and aviation.

The role includes a double day shift pattern with a 15% shift allowance and a 4% pension contribution, plus a 2x salary death-in-service benefit and early finish

Qualifications

• Adjust offsets, change inserts, and perform tooling changes as required.

• Produce components for high-precision industries including defence and aviation.
• Maintain clean, organised work areas and follow health and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support production targets and continuous improvement.

Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour ( £21 per hour including shift allowance)

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience setting and operating Mazak CNC machines.
• Familiarity with Mazatrol controls and basic program modification.
• Skilled in offset adjustments, tooling changes, and use of inspection equipment.
• Experience manufacturing components for defence or aviation industries preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and consistency.
• Reliable, proactive, and a good team player.

Preferably willing to work Double Day Shifts:

• Hourly rate: up to £18 per hour, depending on skill and experience.
• Shift allowance: Additional 15% for applicable shifts.
• First 5 hours at x1.5
• Next 3 hours at x1.75
• 4% employee company pension contribution
• 2x salary death-in-service benefit
