Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for a global aerospace precision manufacturer near Derby. You will set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high‑precision components to tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to read and understand CNC code, and comfortable with machine set‑ups. Aerospace experience and Heidenhain controls are advantageous but not essential. This is a permanent role with a Monday-Thursday shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines (3-axis).
• Machining high-precision metal components for a regulated aerospace industry.
• Ability to work autonomously with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Read and understand CNC code.
• Set up machines with required workholding and tooling.
• Complete machining operations per job card instructions to achieve required output.
• Use CNC programs per procedures.

The role involves setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong milling experience, be proactive and driven, and confident with machine set-ups. Aerospace experience and Heidenhain controls are advantageous but not essential.

Job Description

• Set and Operate CNC Milling Machines.


• Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.


• Set up machines with he required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.


• Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve required output levels.


• Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling Machines, 3 Axis experience is needed.


• Knowledgeable in machining high precision metal components for a highly regulated industry.


• Ability to work autonomously, with a positive attitude.
