Job summary

Workforce Staffing is recruiting for an established precision engineering business in Aldershot for a CNC Miller Programmer on a permanent, days-based role. You will create and optimise CNC programs for 3- and 4-axis Hurco machines using OneCNC CAD/CAM software.

Salary £38,000–£40,000 DOE; hours Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:00pm with flexible start and finish times. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, and long-term job security within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer
• Experience with OneCNC CAD/CAM software is desirable
• Strong understanding of 3- and 4-axis milling processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Create and optimise CNC programs for 3 & 4-axis Hurco machines.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models and technical specs to produce accurate programs.
• Develop efficient tooling and machining strategies for various materials.
• Collaborate with machinists to improve program performance and reduce cycle times.
• Troubleshoot and refine programs to improve quality and minimise waste.
• Ensure all processes meet quality and safety standards

The Role

You'll be responsible for creating and optimising CNC programs for 3 & 4-axis Hurco machining centres using OneCNC CAD/CAM software, ensuring efficient production, exceptional quality, and reduced cycle times.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and optimise CNC programs using OneCNC for 3 & 4-axis Hurco CNC machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to produce accurate machining programs.
• Develop efficient tooling and machining strategies for a range of materials.
• Work closely with machinists to improve program performance, maximise productivity, and reduce cycle times.
• Troubleshoot and refine existing programs to improve quality and minimise waste.
• Ensure all machining processes meet quality, safety, and engineering standards.

• Experience with OneCNC is highly desirable.
