Job summary

A leading engineering manufacturer in the UK is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to work on high integrity parts for the Defence Industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, excellent communication skills, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include programming and operating machinery, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. British Nationality is a requirement due to the nature of the projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in precision machining.
• Apprenticeship trained or NVQ level 3 or higher.
• Knowledge of relevant industries such as Nuclear, Power Generation, Aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Machining high integrity parts in various materials.
• Programming, setting, and operation of machines.
• Reading and understanding complex engineering drawings.
• Performing periodic maintenance checks of equipment.

Skills

Interpersonal and communication skills

Machining experience

Knowledge of control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol)

Ability to work as part of a team

Working to high precision tolerances

Education
