Job summary

KineticPlc in East Lancashire is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join a precision engineering team. You will program and set 4 and 5-axis machining centres, interpret drawings and specifications, and optimise CAPT CAD/CAM or OneCNC to produce parts to exacting standards.

Strong FANUC programming experience is essential, and you will work on exotic materials within a world-class manufacturing environment, Monday to Friday, dayshift 8am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience programming FANUC on 4/5-axis CNC centres.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in offline programming with CAPT CAD/CAM or OneCNC.

Responsibilities

• Programming and setting 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Creating, editing and understanding FANUC programmes.
• Producing programmes offline using CAPT CAD/CAM or OneCNC.
• Interpreting drawings and technical specs.
• Selecting cutting tools and tooling requirements.
• Using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Machining exotic/specialist materials.
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.

CNC Programmer / Setter - 4 & 5 Axis
Salary: £37,000 - £38,500
Permanent | Days 8am - 4.30pm
Location: East Lancs; commutable from Wigan, Skelmersdale, Ormskirk, St Helens, Burscough, Kirkby etc.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to join a highly established and technically advanced manufacturing business in East Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong FANUC programming experience who is comfortable working with complex components and a variety of materials within a precision engineering environment.

The Role:

• Programming and setting 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres
