Job summary

Proslipsi Recruitment Specialist is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will set, operate and program CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality components from engineering drawings and customer specifications.

We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, ability to read drawings, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC milling machines to engineered drawings or CAD models.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of machining tolerances and quality standards.
• Apprenticeship or engineering qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to close tolerances.
• Program CNC mills to job specifications from drawings.
• Adjust tooling, offsets and fixtures to optimise performance.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and process documentation.

CNC Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our precision engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and customer specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Skills Required

• Edit operate CNC milling machines.
• Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work-holding equipment.
• Basic understanding of Mazatrol or Fanuc
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent product quality.
• Adjust machine offsets and tooling to optimise performance
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Confidence to work on various machines with appropriate training and support

About you

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to edit and operate CNC milling machines independently.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
• Experience of Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
• Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.
