Job summary

Dovetail And Slate Limited is seeking a CNC/Machinist Lecturer to design, plan, deliver and assess machining and CNC programmes in a setting that combines practical workshop teaching with theory. The role will draw on substantial industry experience to train learners across multiple levels.

Qualifications

• Substantial practical CNC/machining/precision engineering experience.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate practical skills clearly to learners.
• Commitment to helping learners achieve and progress.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant Level 3 Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, delivering and assessing machining and CNC programmes across a range of levels.
• Delivering a mix of practical workshop teaching and underpinning theory.
• Bringing current industry practice and standards into teaching.
• Assessing learner work fairly and giving clear, constructive feedback.
• Creating a safe, positive and supportive workshop environment.
• Monitoring learner progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
