Job summary

Dovetail And Slate Limited is seeking an experienced CNC/Machinist Lecturer to join our Essex-based program. The role blends practical workshop teaching with theory, designing and delivering CNC and machining curricula to learners across multiple levels, with emphasis on applying industry standards.

You’ll bring substantial hands-on CNC or precision engineering experience, the ability to teach clearly, and a commitment to learner progress.

Qualifications

Substantial practical experience in CNC, machining or precision engineering.
The ability to teach and demonstrate practical skills clearly to learners
A commitment to helping learners achieve and progress
Strong communication and organisational skills
Relevant Level 3 Qualification

Responsibilities

Designing, planning, delivering and assessing machining and CNC programmes across a range of levels.
Delivering a mix of practical workshop teaching and underpinning theory.
Bringing current industry practice and standards into your teaching.
Assessing learner work fairly and giving clear, constructive feedback.
Creating a safe, positive and supportive workshop environment.
Monitoring learner progress and adapting your teaching to meet individual needs.
Working with colleagues to develop and keep the curriculum relevant.
