Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a precision engineering team in Aylesbury. The role focuses on programming, setting and operating Dugard and Hartford CNC centres to manufacture high-quality components.

You will read drawings, select tooling and optimize speeds/feeds, with a strong emphasis on maintaining tight tolerances and quality control in a modern shop environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' manufacturing / precision engineering experience.
• Proven programming, setting and operation of CNC machining centres.
• Experience with Dugard, Hartford or similar machines.
• Experience programming with G-code or CAM software.
• Familiar with Siemens, Fanuc or similar CNC controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specs.
• Solid understanding of geometric tolerancing and surface finishes.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Dugard and Hartford machining centres.
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical specs.
• Choose tooling, speeds and feeds for various materials.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Adjust offsets and programs to maintain accuracy.
• Operate conventional lathes, mills and drills as needed.
• Deburr and finish components to specification.
• Complete job cards and production documentation accurately.

CNC Machinist (PM Shift)

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (commutable from High Wycombe, Leighton Buzzard, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Tring, Hemel Hempstead, Princes Risborough and surrounding areas)

Salary: £32,000 - £39,500 per annum (including 15% shift allowance)

Hours: Monday to Wednesday 1:30pm - 11:30pm | Thursday 1:30pm - 11:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Syntech Recruitment are proud to be supporting a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in their search for a CNC Machinist to join their growing production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist with at least two years' manufacturing experience who enjoys a varied role combining CNC programming, setting and operating with conventional machining. You'll be manufacturing high-quality precision components within a modern, well-equipped machine shop using Dugard and Hartford machining centres.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities

• Experience with Siemens, Fanuc or similar CNC controlsStrong conventional/manual machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good understanding of geometric tolerancing and surface finishes
• Experience machining stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
