The client is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their machine shop. This hands-on role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines to manufacture precision components in a low-volume, high-quality environment.

The role requires strong precision engineering background, experience with tight tolerances from engineering drawings, and good inspection skills using measuring equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC milling or turning machines.
Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
Produce low-volume, high-quality machined parts.
Manufacture and modify jigs, fixtures and tooling.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Record production activity using the ERP system.
Work to production schedules and machining times.

The Company

The Role

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their machine shop. This is a hands‑on role involving the programming, setting and operation of CNC machine tools, manufacturing precision components to engineering drawings within a low-volume, high-quality production environment.

This will be on a double day shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC milling or turning machines.
Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
Produce low-volume, high-quality machined parts.
Manufacture and modify jigs, fixtures and tooling.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Record production activity using the company's ERP system.
Work to production schedules and agreed machining times.
Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.

The Candidate

Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines.
