Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Machinist / Miller / Turner / CNC Engineer to manufacture precision components using milling and turning in a specialist engineering environment in Ashton Keynes. Join a small team producing bespoke parts on 3, 4 and 5 axis bed mills with conversational programming.

You will operate conventional lathes and other workshop equipment, contributing to high-quality engineered solutions across medical, defence and electronics sectors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Skilled Machinist role
• Experience of using 3 axis SMX & DPM bed mills using Proto Track AGE 3 & SMX0 controls
• Experience on 4 & 5 axis Brother Machining Centres would be highly desirable
• Ability to make turned parts on conventional lathes would be an advantage
• Ability to operate conventional machine tools such as pillar drills and surface grinders would be beneficial
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work accurately paying good attention to detail

Machinist / Miller / Turner / CNC Engineer

Skilled CNC Engineer / Machinist required to manufacture precision components using milling and turning techniques within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment.

SALARY: up to £35,000 per annum pro rata (subject to experience)

LOCATION: Ashton Keynes, Swindon, Wiltshire (SN6) - Travelling to the site will always be against the traffic

JOB TYPE: Full-Time OR Part-Time, Permanent – NO Shifts

FULL-TIME WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 17.00pm, Fridays till 2pm

As a Machinist / Miller / Turner / CNC Engineer you will join a small, skilled team producing bespoke components using 3, 4 and 5 axis bed mills with conversational programming in a non-repetitive workshop environment.

Working as a Machinist / Miller / Turner / CNC Engineer you will also operate conventional lathes and other machinery, contributing to high-quality engineering solutions across sectors including medical, defence and electronics.

Travelling is normally against the traffic going to Swindon & Cheltenham areas. Parking is on own farm site.
