Job summary

Kinetic Plc in East Cheshire near Hazel Grove seeks an experienced CNC Machinist who can carry out their own programming. The role involves setting, programming and operating CNC milling or turning machines to manufacture components for one-off and small-batch runs.

You will read engineering drawings and 3D models, produce parts to tight tolerances, and write or edit CNC programs including Heidenhain and HAAS-based systems.

• Experience with CNC machining and programming.

• Capable of achieving tight tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC milling or turning machines for one-off and small-batch components.

Our client, based in the East Cheshire area near Hazel Grove, are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who can carry out their own programming.

Pay will be £20/hr for the right person, who will be able to work independently, but also within a small team of CNC Machinists.

The company is located in East Cheshire near Hazel Grove and commutable from Stockport, Handforth, Macclesfield and all areas of South Manchester.

Requirements/Duties:

• Set, program and operate CNC milling OR CNC turning machines to manufacture one-off and small-batch components.
• Machine components, fixtures, jigs and specialist engineering parts.
• Interpret and work accurately from technical engineering drawings, customer samples, specifications and 3D models.
• Produce components to demanding dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
• Write, edit and optimize CNC programs, including Heidenhain and HAAS-based programming.
• Manufacture and maintain jigs, fixtures and specialist equipment.
