Job summary

KineticPlc in East Cheshire near Hazel Grove is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program and operate CNC milling or turning machines for one-off and small-batch components. You will interpret technical drawings and 3D models, producing parts to tight tolerances.

Join a small team and work independently as needed; pay is £20/hr for the right candidate, with commutable access from Stockport, Handforth, Macclesfield and South Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience set, program and operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce one-off and small-batch components.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, customer samples and 3D models.
• Experience in writing/editing CNC programs (Heidenhain/HAAS).

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC milling or CNC turning machines to manufacture one-off and small-batch components.
• Machine components, fixtures, jigs and specialist engineering parts.
• Interpret and work accurately from technical drawings, customer samples, specifications and 3D models.
• Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Write, edit and optimize CNC programs, including Heidenhain and HAAS-based programming.
