Job summary

Kinetic Plc in East Cheshire near Hazel Grove seeks an experienced CNC Machinist who can carry out their own programming. The role involves setting, programming and operating CNC milling or turning machines to manufacture components for one-off and small-batch runs.

You will read engineering drawings and 3D models, produce parts to tight tolerances, and write or edit CNC programs including Heidenhain and HAAS-based systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining and programming.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Capable of achieving tight tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC milling or turning machines for one-off and small-batch components.
• Machine components, fixtures and jigs as required.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, customer samples and specifications.
• Write, edit and optimise CNC programs (Heidenhain/HAAS).
• Maintain jigs, fixtures and specialist equipment.
