Job summary

Kinetic Plc in East Cheshire near Hazel Grove is seeking an experienced CNC Miller/Turner who can program and operate CNC milling and turning machines for one-off and small-batch components.

You will read technical drawings, 3D models and specifications, write and optimize CNC programs (Heidenhain and HAAS), and ensure components meet tight tolerances.

The role is on-site in East Cheshire within a small team of machinists, offering independence and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and programming CNC milling/turning machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing CNC programs (Heidenhain/HAAS).

Our client, based in the East Cheshire area near Hazel Grove, are looking for an experienced CNC Miller/Turner who can carry out their own programming.

Pay will be £20/hr for the right person, who will be able to work independently, but also within a small team of CNC Machinists.

The company is located in East Cheshire near Hazel Grove and commutable from Stockport, Handforth, Macclesfield and all areas of South Manchester.

Requirements/Duties:

• Set, program and operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines to manufacture one-off and small-batch components.
• Machine components, fixtures, jigs and specialist engineering parts.
• Interpret and work accurately from technical engineering drawings, customer samples, specifications and 3D models.
• Produce components to demanding dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
• Write, edit and optimize CNC programs, including Heidenhain and HAAS-based programming.
• Manufacture and maintain jigs, fixtures and specialist equipment.
