Job summary

tk accelis Supply Chain Solutions UK. is seeking a motivated Production Operative to join our busy Birmingham-area manufacturing team. You will work across multiple production functions, operating CNC machinery and assisting with assembly while ensuring safety, quality and timely production.

You will record measurements, handle materials with overhead cranes and forklifts, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficiency and high standards throughout the shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Willingness to work across a range of production activities including CNC support, assembly, goods-in, stock control and dispatch.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklift trucks, or willingness to train and gain certification.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures and instructions.
• Strong team player with flexible approach to support colleagues and business needs.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Basic numeracy and literacy to complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components accurately in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Operate CNC machinery safely and effectively following training and procedures.
• Record measurements and progress, report discrepancies against drawings.
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts to transport materials safely.
• Collaborate with production team and undertake paired or team-based tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area and follow housekeeping standards.
• Support continuous improvement to boost efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Ensure stock, materials and customer components are identified and labelled correctly.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental and quality policies.
• Be flexible to undertake training across multiple production functions.
