Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting a Production Operative to join a growing manufacturing business in the UK. You will support day-to-day manufacturing and workshop activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You'll carry out basic mechanical assembly using drawings and work instructions, operate workshop machinery and hand tools, perform light metalworking, prepare components for further processes and help with packing and dispatch.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production, manufacturing or workshop environment is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical or assembly drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day manufacturing and workshop activities across multiple areas of the business
• Carrying out basic mechanical assembly work using technical drawings and work instructions
• Operating workshop machinery and hand tools to complete manufacturing tasks
• Carrying out basic metalworking operations, including drilling and tapping
• Cutting materials to specification using appropriate workshop equipment
• Preparing components for further manufacturing processes
• Supporting surface preparation activities where required
• Selecting and preparing components and materials for production
• Packing completed work ready for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Moving materials and finished products safely around the workplace
