Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Team Leader for a busy manufacturing environment in North Somerset. The role focuses on leading a small team, managing workloads, and maintaining production targets with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Candidates should have hands-on experience in CNC/machining or related production settings, with a background in drawing interpretation and tool handling. Training and development of operators will be part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or machine-led production environments.
• Exposure to CNC, extrusion, plastics, automated production, frame build, mouldings or cutting equipment is advantageous.
• Previous Team Leader/Supervisor experience is advantageous, with workload allocation and staff training responsibility.
• Strong fault finding and mechanical fitting skills, plus 5S/continuous improvement awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small production team on a busy manufacturing line.
• Allocate workloads, monitor targets and drive quality standards.
• Train and mentor operators, ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
• Participate in continuous improvement and process optimisation.
