Job summary

Optical Precision is seeking a CMM Quality Inspector to join its precision machining team in Chatham. You will inspect precision engineered components and support first article inspections in a fast-paced subcontract environment.

The role requires experience with measurement equipment, CMM operation, and a good understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience using inspection measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• First article inspection reporting.
• Root cause analysis and rework of parts.
• Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
• Good communications and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• First off inspection and final inspection in a subcontract machining environment.
• Use inspection measurement equipment (Micrometres, Verniers, Gauges).
• Produce first article inspection reporting.
• Operate CMM equipment.

A well established manufacturer of high quality precision aerospace machined components are looking for an experienced CMM Quality Inspector to join their team. The company provide precision parts to a wide range of industries including aerospace and automotive in their modern and fast paced machining facility.

The Role - CMM Quality Inspector

As a successful quality inspector, you will be required to inspect precision engineered components.

Duties - CMM Quality Inspector

• First off inspection and final inspection in a subcontract machining environment


• Using inspection measurement equipment such as Micrometres, Verniers, Gauges


• First article inspection reporting


• CMM Operating

Requirements - CMM Quality Inspector

• Experience using inspection measurement equipment


• A knowledge of inspection measurement equipment.


• Good understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements


• First article inspection reporting


• Root cause analysis and resolution, including rework of parts.


• Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision.


• Good communications and computer literacy.


• Working knowledge of Excel


• Subcontract machining environment experience

Hours of Work - CMM Quality Inspector

Monday - Thursday 08.00 am - 16.30 pm

Friday 08.00am - 12.30pm

Salary - CMM Quality Inspector

£18.00 - £20.00 Per Hour
