Job summary

Nicholas Associates are recruiting a Lead CMM Inspector to head a team of four quality inspectors in our precision manufacturing facility near Alfreton.

You will interpret detailed engineering drawings, inspect machined parts, and program CMM machinery while working with the quality manager to sustain first-class quality. Hours: Mon-Thu 7:30–16:30, Fri 7:30–14:00; salary £21.17/hr (£42,932) plus £2,675 supervisory rate, with overtime paid at 1.5x. Holidays: 33 days, pension.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure and inspect detailed machined and fabricated parts.
• Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Ability to use and program CMM machinery.
• Experienced in FAIRS/first article inspection reports.

Responsibilities

The basics:

• Job Title: CMM Inspector - Lead inspector
• Location: near Alfreton
• Position: Permanent
• Basic salary: £21.17 per hour / £42,932 + £2675 supervisory rate = £45607 per annum + overtime paid at 1.5 Monday to Saturday.
• Hours: Monday-Thursday (7.30am-4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-2.00pm)
• Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, 13 weeks company sick pay, company pensions

Overview

Working within first class purpose built manufacturing facilities we now require a CMM Inspector to lead the inspection team. You will be tasked to lead a team of x4 quality inspectors whilst working closely with the quality manager to maintain first class quality in this high precision manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate / CMM Inspector may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Ability to measure and inspect detailed machined and fabricated parts
• Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Ability to use and program CMM machinery
• Experienced in FAIRS/first article inspection reports

Location: Alfreton, Heanor, Clay Cross, Hucknall and surrounding areas
