Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a CMM Inspector – Lead Inspector to head a small team within a high-precision manufacturing facility in the UK. You will lead a team of four quality inspectors and collaborate closely with the quality manager to ensure first-class quality standards are met.

The role requires the ability to measure and inspect detailed machined parts, interpret engineering drawings and program CMM machinery. Commutable from Alfreton and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure and inspect detailed machined and fabricated parts.
• Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Ability to use and program CMM machinery.
• Experienced in FAIRS/first article inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four quality inspectors and coordinate with the quality manager to maintain first-class quality in a high-precision environment.

The basics:

• Job Title: CMM Inspector – Lead inspector
• Position: Permanent
• Basic salary: £45607 per annum + OT = earnings of £50k and upwards
• Hours: Monday-Thursday (7.30am-4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-2.00pm)
• Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, 13 weeks company sick pay, company pensions

Overview

Working within first class purpose built manufacturing facilities we now require a CMM Inspector to lead the inspection team. You will be tasked to lead a team of x4 quality inspectors whilst working closely with the quality manager to maintain first class quality in this high precision manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate / CMM Inspector may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Ability to measure and inspect detailed machined and fabricated parts
• Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Ability to use and program CMM machinery
• Experienced in FAIRS/first article inspection reports
