Job summary

Everlast Gyms is seeking a General Manager to lead overall club performance and day-to-day operations in the UK. You will drive exceptional member experiences, commercial success and an accountable, development-focused culture.

You'll recruit and develop teams, coach performance conversations, monitor KPIs and ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness and service across the club. This role requires leadership, resilience and a member-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year's management experience in fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Proven experience leading and developing successful teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of hitting targets.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements.
• Positive, resilient and solutions-focused mindset.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
• Experience within a fitness or leisure environment.
• Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• Understanding of membership sales, retention and club operations.
• Pool plant and Health & Safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams, recruiting, coaching and succession planning.
• Drive club performance across memberships, retention and profitability.
• Provide strong sales leadership and monitor KPIs to improve results.
• Oversee daily operations, presentation, cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and club procedures.
• Manage risk and create a welcoming, inclusive member environment.
