Job summary

SCC is hiring for a permanent Tech Support - Cloud VDI role based in the UK, offering hybrid office/home working, core hours 9:00 to 17:30, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will support virtualised desktop environments, handle incidents via ServiceNow, and collaborate across IT teams to deliver customer-focused IT transformation and services.

Ideal candidates have MSP experience, strong Citrix/VDI knowledge, and familiarity with Windows Server, AD/GPOs, and ITIL practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT systems administration within large MSPs.
• Expertise in virtualized desktop environments: Citrix, Citrix Cloud, AVD, Azure Stack HCI, Nerdio.
• Hands-on with Windows Server 2012–2019/2022 and related tech.
• Proficient in Active Directory and GPOs.
• Knowledge of AppSense/Ivanti, FSLogix, NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, Delivery Controllers.

Responsibilities

• Provide tech support for VDI as part of UK Infrastructure Team.
• Resolve incidents and tasks via ServiceNow.
• Plan and implement changes to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with TSMs, projects, and other teams for chargeable work.
• Manage Citrix On-Prem and Cloud, AVD, Nerdio.
• Troubleshoot virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Azure.
• Work with AD and GPOs, including FSLogix.
• Support Citrix environments: NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, Delivery Controllers, profile management.
• Use AppSense/Ivanti and FSLogix for user workspace management.
• Support Windows Server 2012–2022.
• Understand certificate renewal and Citrix certificate chains.
• Provide second-line IT systems support, escalate when needed.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and SOPs.
• Work in line with ITIL practices.
