Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen reliability across Azure and Google Cloud Platform. You will lead a team of SREs, set engineering standards and drive improvements in observability, incident response and platform reliability.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and platform teams to ensure resilient, scalable cloud services while enabling feature delivery.

Qualifications

• Designing, building or operating large-scale cloud platforms within Azure, GCP or comparable cloud environments.
• SRE or related platform/production engineering experience.
• Observability and monitoring across distributed systems.
• Incident and problem management with a focus on reliability.
• Experience with SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Automation to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Production readiness reviews and post-incident learning.
• Leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Site Reliability Engineers, creating an inclusive environment that supports learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners and platform teams to balance reliability, resilience and feature delivery.
• Use observability data and service insights to identify improvements and reduce operational risk.
• Lead incident and problem management activities with root-cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
• Champion SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs and error budgets; drive automation initiatives.
• Contribute to engineering standards and platform strategy across cloud environments.
• Support evolution of resilient, scalable and secure cloud platforms.
