Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for the Public Cloud in a hybrid role spanning Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Halifax or Edinburgh. You will help build and run compliant, secure data platforms, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and operational excellence.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve platform reliability, reduce toil, and ensure services meet performance and security expectations, blending software engineering with database

Qualifications

• Experience delivering reliable, scalable data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills with query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Familiar with security data platforms and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reliability improvements through automation and engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
• Monitor and optimise enterprise databases including Oracle, DB2, SAP HANA, SQL Server.
• Analyse performance bottlenecks and implement resilience improvements.
• Contribute to security monitoring and data platform governance.
