Zusammenfassung

Jacobs is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Manchester to design, build, automate, and optimise cloud-native platforms and delivery pipelines in agile teams. You will support cloud adoption, platform modernisation, and secure, scalable environments for critical digital services.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders, contribute to multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, and promote continuous improvement while complying with security requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering DevOps or platform engineering solutions in agile environments.
• Strong AWS expertise and IaC with Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and modern source control practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm; logging, monitoring, and observability knowledge.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and high-availability design; Bash scripting; Python/TypeScript is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• SC Security Clearance eligibility or active clearance is a plus.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS infrastructure using IaC.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment speed, reliability, and quality.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting for operational insights.
• Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to modernise platforms and migrate legacy workloads.
