Telent's Network Services division is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with customers, provide proactive service, and act as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Assist with professional services and sales opportunities.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Highlight trends, security threats, and technical bulletins impacting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Adhere to processes regarding task allocation, reporting, and change management.
  • Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create and review technical documentation and statements of work.
  • Assist in pre-staging equipment and participate in customer meetings.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submission and compliance with GDPR and security policies.
Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, some Azure knowledge, Linux exposure, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your development in these areas. Essential skills include:

  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
  • Networking knowledge
  • SQL Server 2016+ (clustering, availability groups)
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016+
  • VMware vCloud Director knowledge
  • Strong work ethic, ownership, and collaboration skills
