Legal & General is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Group Protection technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver modern cloud-based solutions while working across the full software delivery lifecycle.

You'll collaborate with product owners and engineers to turn ideas into impactful solutions. You'll mentor others, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, ensuring secure and scalable applications that support

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing software using Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful microservices in Spring Boot, Node.js or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies, ideally Azure.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, preferably including GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, clean architecture and test-driven development.
• Experience working within Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
