A leading mental health service provider is looking for Liaison Crisis Activity/Support Workers in London. The role involves providing person-centered support, facilitating therapeutic care plans, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Applicants should have strong communication skills, experience in crisis intervention, and a compassionate approach to mental health care. This position operates 24/7, contributing to essential community care.
The service consists of a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, support workers and lived experience staff. The service has been created to relieve pressure on the Emergency Department (ED) at St Thomas’ Hospital.. This is achieved by providing a diversionary assessment space for patients with mental health problems who would otherwise have been seen in the ED but have no concurrent acute physical health concern.
This area will provide collaborative and timely care to patients requiring mental health care and treatment, in line with National emergency care access standards.
We have substantive vacancies for Liaison Crisis Activity/Support Workers - Crisis Liaison. To work across a 24 hour/7day a week roster 365 days of the year.
The post holders will support and facilitate individual therapeutic care plans/therapeutic interventions that have been planned with or by qualified/senior members of the team.
You will play a key role in developing and facilitating collaborative and therapeutic activities with service users.
Provide person centred support in a planned and coordinated manner.
Participate in clinical audits/assessments.

SLaM employ around 5000 staff and serve a local population of 1.1 million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. Currently, provide inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; as well as substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
