Job summary

hVIVO Group in London is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join the FluCamp team. The role involves working across screening and quarantine units, with shifts on a rotating basis and 37.5 hours per week.

The candidate should have strong customer service, IT skills, and healthcare experience. Phlebotomy training and knowledge of ICH-GCP are desirable. This is a fixed-term full-time position in London.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in healthcare settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and regulatory standards is desirable.
• Phlebotomy training or certification is a plus.
• Good IT skills with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assess the suitability of volunteers' veins for cannulation and frequent blood draws.
• Use venepuncture methods to obtain blood samples.
• Maintain sample integrity, labeling and handling.
• Promote wellbeing of subjects during venepuncture and manage vasovagal responses.
• Escalate incidents to Screening Manager and Lead Screening Nurse.
• Assist with daily planning of screening clinic activities.
• Follow SOPs and study protocols in all tasks.
• Assist with daily management of the clinical area.
• Provide volunteers with correct documentation.
• Coordinate daily volunteer visit schedules.
• Support venepuncture training of new staff with Training Coordinator.
• Monitor safety and compliance with health and safety policies.
• Participate in audits as needed.
• Carry out designated administrative duties.
