Job summary

hVIVO are seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join their FluCamp team in London. The role involves supporting volunteer screening, quarantine and follow-up within the Clinical Operations team.

You will work across screening and quarantine shifts, with rota-based hours, 37.5 per week, and overtime where needed. Key responsibilities include venepuncture support, sample handling, and daily clinic planning.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade A-C or equivalent.
• Immediate Life Support certification.
• Hep B Immunisation.
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
• Good IT skills (Word and Excel or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience in healthcare settings, ideally hospital.
• Biological Science degree and knowledge of ICH-GCP helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assess suitability of volunteers' veins for cannulation and blood draws.
• Perform venepuncture using correct method and label samples.
• Maintain sample integrity and proper documentation.
• Promote wellbeing during and after venepuncture and escalate incidents.
• Assist with daily planning of screening clinic activities.
• Follow SOPs and Study Protocols; assist in daily management of the clinical area.
• Provide volunteers with correct documentation and schedule visits.
• Support venepuncture training for new team members.
• Ensure safety and compliance with health, safety and security guidelines.
• Carry out administrative duties as required.
