Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse or allied health professional to join the Skills for Practice team. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical skills teaching to undergraduate medical students and trust staff, with some ward-based work.

The post starts at Band 5 with progression to Band 6 after 12 months, including an Apprenticeship in Teaching and Learning.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or allied professional
• Experience in teaching or mentoring others
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and education
• Experience educating learners in formal or informal settings
• Broad awareness of NHS initiatives and pressures

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical skills teaching to undergraduate medical students and trust staff
• Work with learners on ward or clinical areas as needed
• Travel to University of Southampton campus to deliver training
