Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Skills Tutor to support undergraduate medical education. You will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical skills teaching, including simulation and assessment, across a range of disciplines, in collaboration with the University and Clinical Education colleagues.

The role requires a healthcare professional with strong communication skills, organisational abilities and a passion for developing others.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Registered Paramedic with UK registration.
• Experience in teaching or supervising learners in clinical settings is desirable.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess clinical skills teaching and OSCE-style assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver clinical skills teaching for undergraduate medical students.
• Facilitate simulation-based education and practical skills training.
• Teach and assess core clinical skills such as cannulation, venepuncture and catheterisation.
• Support undergraduate assessments and examinations including OSCEs.
