Job Description

Clinical Psychologist until September 2025

Location: Glasgow

35 hours per week - working 9-5pm Monday to Friday

Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support individuals in regaining lost skills. We treat a range of brain injuries caused by trauma, illness, substance abuse, and more, helping individuals recover and meet their personal goals. Main Purpose

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within the Brainkind neurobehavioural model to service users with acquired brain injury. Responsibilities include liaising with professionals, family members, and service users, engaging in research, and advising other professionals as appropriate.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessments of adults with acquired brain injury using various tools and methods.
  • Coordinate service user care as appropriate, acting as a keyworker or clinical lead.
  • Develop and implement psychological and neuropsychological intervention plans based on current best practices.
  • Identify personal goals with service users and translate them into SMART goals.
  • Deliver psychological interventions (individual, family, group) tailored to individual needs, with ongoing outcome evaluation.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary formulation and intervention planning, providing specialist psychological advice.
About You
  • Degree in Psychology accepted by BPS for GBR or equivalent.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation concerning the service user group.
