Job description

Job Title: Consultant Clinical Psychologist - CAMHS, East Renfrewshire

This is an exciting opportunity to join the East Renfrewshire CAMHS team as a part-time (0.5 WTE) Consultant Clinical Psychologist. The post holder will be an integral part of the leadership team within a multidisciplinary service comprising various psychology posts at different levels. The wider team includes multidisciplinary staff dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services for children and young people.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the delivery and governance of psychological therapies within the service.
  2. Collaborate with senior clinicians and the Service Manager to manage waiting times and ensure delivery of a high-quality clinical service aligned with Scottish Government Local Delivery Plan targets.
  3. Contribute routinely to neurodevelopmental service provision.
Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have experience in service delivery and management, particularly with complex cases in a Tier 3 CAMHS setting. Experience in working with service management and complex cases is desirable.

Team and Academic Links

The successful candidate will join a group of over 100 psychologists within Specialist Children’s Services and approximately 300 psychologists across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. There are strong links with the University of Glasgow’s Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the University of Edinburgh’s MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People.
