Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Exeter is seeking a Biomedical Scientist to join the Clinical Microbiology department. You will rotate through the microbiology disciplines, process clinical specimens, and interpret results to support high-quality service for the Trust and the community.

The role requires HCPC registration and IBMS Portfolio, strong IT and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure as part of a 24/7 service with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required for the role.
• IBMS Registration Portfolio preferred or in progress.
• Ability to work across multiple microbiology disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Process clinical specimens for microbiological testing.
• Interpret results and contribute to diagnostic reports.
• Rotate through Microbiology with on-call and shift flexibility.
