Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Biomedical Scientist to work in Clinical Microbiology. You will process specimens, interpret results and contribute to high-quality service across seven days, with rotational shifts and on-call duties.

Applicants should be IBMS registered or working towards the Registration Portfolio and HCPC registered, with a flexible, team-oriented approach and strong IT and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have completed IBMS Registration Portfolio and be HCPC registered.
• Flexible attitude with strong IT, communication and organisational skills.
• IBMS-approved training laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Process clinical specimens for microbiological testing.
• Interpret results to assist clinical staff with diagnosis.
• Rotate across the Microbiology department.
• Work under pressure as part of a team and on-call rota.
