The Beatson Cancer Centre is seeking a Clinical Development Fellow in Oncology, offering comprehensive training and career development opportunities. Candidates will manage patients under supervision and engage in audit projects. Ideal candidates will have MRCP or equivalent.

The Beatson Cancer Centre seeks to appoint a Clinical Development Fellow. This program offers comprehensive training in Oncology, with placements in Palliative Medicine and Clinical Haematology. Under supervision from Oncology Consultants and Specialty Trainees, fellows will participate in patient management at ward level. Opportunities also include outpatient clinics, radiotherapy, an Acute Oncology Assessment Unit, and an Enhanced Care Unit.
The Centre is organized around six wards (B1-B5, B7), specializing in non-surgical cancer treatments. Fellows will primarily be based in wards B1, B2, B4, B5, and B7. A key aspect of this fellowship is career development, including CV enhancement and interview preparation, with guidance from several consultants involved in national recruitment. Fellows are expected to complete at least one audit project to be presented at a national or international meeting.
Candidates should ideally possess MRCP (UK/I) or equivalent at the start. Experience in Oncology, Palliative Medicine, or Clinical Haematology is advantageous. Career prospects in this expanding specialty are excellent.
